Christmas (as they say) is coming! Understandably a little daunting if you’ll be hair free over the festive social season. However our Christmas edit is all about crowning your head with elegance and boosting your self-confidence with stylish headwear your friends will be coveting. How do we know this? Well many of our lovely clients visit us in the studio and bring along supportive friends, who are so surprised by how good our hats look, they buy one too! So we hope you’ll love our new modern styles, designed specifically with you in mind.

This is our heavier weight, warmer hats edit – they are all cut deeper to give fuller coverage from the front to the back of the head.  All styles arel elasticated or made of stretch fabrics to give you that secure fit / feel on your head.  All of them are lined with viscose jersey that works like a breathable layer to avoid itching and over-heating.  Many of our designs come about because of their shape; they disguise defined head shape and are made fuller by folds of fabric, trim details, peaks and fabric pattern. If you are concerned about moving from indoors to outdoors throughout the day and not overheating, layering a base cap or bandana scarf underneath will enable you to take your outdoor hat off and remain covered.

Winter has arrived and with it the priority of keeping your head warm. ‘Esther’ returns a perennial favourite in a new colour – Moss Green – super if your colours are Autumnal shades. We also have it available in a new soft knit Leopard print (see above). A good versatile neutral in dove grey, charcoal and gun metal, to wear alongside all your winter coats and jackets. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed but animal print has a certain ‘sass’ about it too! Your best friend, or daughter is sure to want to ‘borrow’ it!

‘Lulu Leopard’ is a cap design in the same versatile knit, with an understated grey vinyl trim on the peak. Snappy street wear and no one will be thinking hair loss.

‘Cassidy’ is a new cap in a beautiful silky glass velour with a raspberry, black and pale grey print. This is a ‘love at first sight’ sort of style – the Italian fabric is beautiful and rather… stroke-able! The rich colour, look and feel of the fabric will lift the most weary of days – don’t worry about whether it will go with everything in your wardrobe, so ‘hipster’ will you look!

If you’d prefer a hat with a brim, bucket hats are big news at the moment. Everyone from Chanel to the High St is reinventing the utilitarian bucket hat. Our SubTub retro 70’s take on the style is now available – ‘Bailey’ – comes in this fab-u-lous velour print in rich tobacco, chocolate, gold and black – it’s even ever so slightly stretchy for super comfy wear. What’s not to love!!!!

These are the first of our new winter hat edit styles, don’t forget there are many more styles available under ‘Winter Chemo Hats’ on the site. We hope you’ll be spoilt for choice and find warm, confident styles to help you through the colder months.

Scarves in the right fabrics can also work well for winter – as well as the volume in wrapping shape, the wrap gives you warmth.  Viscose scarves are ideal for this – viscose is a natural fibre made of wood pulp, so often ignored as it is thought to be a synthetic.  It comes in many different weights and weaves, but can be soft and silky, particularly Modal which is Beech wood pulp.
