Return Policy

Please return unwanted items to us second class post (UK) or international airmail (EU / rest of world). You can use the original mailing bag. Covering your address and indicating the return address on the main postage label. Please place a copy of the invoice in the parcel and note your return / exchange request. Don’t forget to request a certificate of posting. As soon as we receive it we will email to confirm receipt / refund / exchange.

The cost of the item will be refunded in full, less any postage costs.  We recommend you return goods to us via second-class post and request a certificate of posting, enclosing the original purchase receipt.  The item is the customer’s responsibility until it reaches us.  The cost of returning the item is also that of the customer.

Faulty items

If the item you received is faulty, please email us at nicky@suburbanturban.com , quoting your order number, address, details of the product and the nature of the fault and whether you require a replacement or a refund. Suburban Turban will then advise you on what to do next.  You have 14 days from receipt of the faulty item to return it to us.

Incorrect items

If the item you received is not what you ordered, please email us at nicky@suburbanturban.com , quoting your order number, address, details of the product you originally ordered and what you received and whether you require a replacement or a refund.  Suburban Turban will then advise you on what to do next.

Damaged items

If an item arrives damaged please notify us immediately by email nicky@suburbanturban.com , otherwise responsibility cannot be accepted for credit or replacement.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Order Cancellation

Under the United Kingdom’s Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for items from Suburban Turban within 14 days, for a full refund.  Please do so in writing via email.  Your order will then be followed up to confirm whether despatch has all ready happened.  If it has you will need to return this item before the refund is credited back to you, less postage costs.

Ordering

Products can be purchased from Suburban Turban using all major credit cards (except American Express) and PayPal.  A purchase confirmation will be sent direct to you by our secure payment gateway provider.

You will also receive an order confirmation from the Suburban Turban website via the e-mail address supplied, once your payment has been received by us.  Confirmation emails will NOT include any personal financial information other than the amount paid for the product.  Receipt of this email confirmation does not indicate acceptance of the order by Suburban Turban.  When your order has been processed by Suburban Turban, you will be notified of dispatch via email.

Prices

All prices displayed are in pounds sterling.  Suburban Turban products will have the price clearly indicated and we make every effort to ensure that prices are correct.  In the event that a price is incorrect we will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel your order.

Prices are correct at time of publishing and supersede any other published prices pre-dating this.  All prices and special promotions are subject to product availability and may be changed at any time.  Delivery charges are clearly added to the order form.  Please ensure that you include these in the total order price to pay, to avoid delays in processing your order.Every attempt has been made to accurately describe and represent the headwear on this site. However, this incorporates information supplied by our designers as to fabric specifications etc.  Suburban Turban will act as quickly as possible when informed of mistakes, to correct any misleading information.  We reserve the right to make such corrections.

VAT

If you are experiencing significant hair loss because of a medical condition, you can qualify for exemption and purchase many of our items VAT free. This applies to items that we manufacture ourselves i.e. that have been designed and manufactured expressly for the purpose of hair loss wear.  Unfortunately we cannot offer this exemption on ‘standard items’ such as scarves and winter felt hats i.e. items that have not been designed or adapted for hair loss. The system will work out which items to exempt and to apply VAT to, and will let you view your order before committing to buy. A valid health declaration must be registered with your customer account and updated each time you purchase from us to qualify for VAT exemption.  This data may be verified at a later date.

Shipping & Delivery

Every effort is made to ensure that products on the Suburban Turban website are in stock and can be quickly despatched.  We will contact you at the earliest opportunity if we find an item you have ordered is temporarily out of stock.  In this event, we will inform you of when the item will next be in stock, refund any monies or try to supply an alternative.  We will advise you of the anticipated delivery time at this time.  Our aim is to despatch goods by ‘first class’ UK or equivalent international post services (some of which will be tracked / signed for), subject to stock availability.  We aim to deliver all orders received in not more than 8-10 working days, and in the majority of cases sooner.

Suburban Turban will endeavour to respond to all customer email enquiries within one working day.  Sometimes email responses can be delayed by general Internet traffic or not accepted by your email provider, i.e. viewed as junk mail or your mailbox may be full.  If you have not heard from us within 2 days please contact us again with a secondary trusted email address and we’ll endeavour to sort out the original query as quickly as possible.
