Women turban styles for the warmer summer months – for many women who are experiencing cancer related hair loss that means making a difficult decision.

Continue to wear a wig that can be hot and uncomfortable, or look at the alternatives – light, summery turbans. Luckily, there is now so much more sophistication(!) and choice available – cancer turbans and headscarves have never looked so stylish.

If you find wearing wigs uncomfortable and prefer to cover your head whilst experiencing hair loss due to cancer, turbans provide a great alternative. Comfortable, fun, and in a wide array of colours and styles, here are just some of the reasons why we love women’s turbans for summer wear:

Women turban are stylish

Turbans come in many styles and shapes and can be worn anywhere: in fact, when it comes to choosing a turban the only limitation is your imagination! Looking for a turban to wear with your favourite little black dress for a special occasion? Add a chic turban in deep jewel colours in silk or satin for added glamour. Want a turban to wear for everyday? Why not choose a vibrant Hawaiian or floral print to inject some summer vibes into your day.

Women’s turbans are super comfy

Many women who are suffering with hair loss a result of treatment find that their scalps become hyper-sensitive. This often passes after a few days but can mean wearing a wig is uncomfortable, and it can aggravate sensitive scalp skin. In contrast, cancer turbans are made from light, breathable fabrics with minimal seams that means that they are cool, comfortable, and easy to wear. If you’re cancer treatment is leaving you feeling fatigued and you find you are taking frequent naps throughout the day a turban / soft beanie is comfy enough to sleep in.

Women’s turbans are easy to wear

Unlike wearing a wig, there is no adjustment, liner, or wig tape required, if you’re struggling to get a good fit. Most modern turbans are made in stretch fabrics – draped, stitched and ready to wear, meaning that all you have to do is pull it on, just as you would with a hat. If you’d prefer a headscarf ‘turban look’ and you are feeling dexterous, you could a long tying turban scarf, wrapped around your head in a variety of styles. But the ready-to-wear turbans are by far the quickest option, making them the perfect alternative for women with busy lives who want to look effortlessly chic!
